WHAT GUIDES HAVE ANYONE USED UP THERE? LOOKING FOR A GOOD ONE. WANT TO GO UP SOON FISH MY FIRST MACK. IVE BEEN WANTING TO DO IT FOR 15 YRS OR MOORE.

No Doubt Jim Williams. It ain't cheap or fancy but you will catch alot of fish and learn alot about the lake.
I have taken 3 trips with him and would highly recommend him.
The only problem is he is probably already booked for most of the rest of the year.
He does have a first come first serve cancellation list you can get on and he will email you if he has someone back out but you may have to be ready to go within 48 hours or so.
His ph # is (435)784-3301 give him a call he probably just got back from Florida.
Be warned though, there is nothing relaxing about a day of fishing on Jim's boat. What produces his consistent results on huge fish is perfect presentation and he will be all over you if you don't focus, listen, and do what he says. Also he dosent provide lunch or drinks or stuff like that... Just lots of big fish...

WELL I TOOK A LOOK AT THE ATACHED WEB SITE AND WAS REALY IMPRESSED. SO I MADE A CALL TO JIM AND HAD A REWARDING AND ENLIGHTENING CONVERSATION. HE IS JUST WHAT I LOOK FOR IN AN OUTFITTER. ANGRY KNOLAGIBLE AND HUMORUS. HE SOUDED VERY GOOD SO BOOK UTWALLEYE AND ME FOR R FIRST TRIP.

Good choice! I have known Jim for about 14 years. I am good friends with him. I fish with him all the time. If anyone can get you in to numbers and/or size, he can. He knows more about lake trout and Flaming Gorge than anyone. He is very demanding. He takes your success very seriously. You better be focused the whole day or you will hear about it. It is imparative that you are very focused to be successful. It is a very draining day on the water but very rewarding. It is because of him that my first love is mack fishing and that over the years I have been very successful up there. You will learn alot. Good luck!
