[cool][#0000ff]Hey, welcome to the DARK SIDE. If you haven't already done so, take a look down through the links in the BEST OF THE BEST thread at the top. There are lots of posts and pics. Also, on our new picture board there is a thread on PONTOONERY that has some pics of both front and back motor mounts.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you need some help on doing a front mount, you might wanna PM JedBurton. He has done a good job of setting his up, using a 2X4 between the foot rests on the front frame.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I personally would not like the front mount. It would be easier to reach, but it would interfere with fishing and it would also make it difficult to operate the toon with just fin power. When you are not "under way", with the motor, you use the fins to move you around in the fishing area "hands free". You still need those fins for positioning. If you use only the oars or the motor, you will be spending a lot of good fishing time just keeping yourself in position, once you find the fish.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]What kind of pontoon did you get? How about some pics when you get it set up?[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]Did you get the single air chamber (on each side) or the 4-chamber Cougar model? I have been thinking about either the Cougar or the Panther. Outcast makes good craft.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I think CBR has the 8 foot single air chamber. He has his rigged up with a rear mount. You might check in with him too.[/#0000ff]
