Every so often on my lunch breaks I wander through a sporting goods store near my work. In their fishing department they have a pretty good selection of Storm's WildEye Live Series lures. (It's about the only good selection of anything they have.) Here's their Web site link to the lures I'm talking about: http://www.stormlures.com/whatsnew/index.html.
These life-like lures from Storm that I'm seeing in the sporting goods store look like they would be pretty effective. They look exactly like a real minnow, have soft plastic bodies, have a weighted jig head inside them, and don't have the treble hook hanging from the bottom of the lure like they do on the Web site, which I feel would help keep them from hanging up on Utah Lake's numerous rocks. (No, I don't work for the company; I'm just stating my opinion here.)
Since nobody's been buying them in the particular store I frequent, I've been wondering if they're any good or if they just simply haven't been discovered yet by Utah County's fishing populace.
I had a couple of strikes while reeling in my minnows slowly at Lincoln Beach on Friday, and I've read reports that the walleye (and possibly largemouth too) are starting to get more active towards attacking lures.
I know it's not a big deal to shell out three or four bucks for a package of experimental lures, but before I do, I just wanted to know if anybody has fished them. They look like a pretty good product.
