Went up to lake X on saturday we happend to run into tomegun on the boat ramp. It was a slow morning only boated one fish by 10:00 am. After 10 was the ticket the fish turned on and we ended up catching around 15 fish. The smallies ranged from 1.5 to 3.5 pounds. Right when we were getting ready to leave my dad had a Walleye around the 5 pound mark chase his jig in. The
thing is he didn't hook it. The fish looked spawned out so that will make somebody happy. I will be the first to say I love fishing for the eyes, but when it comes to Lake X we need to keep them out.

Where did you find active fish? My dad and I fished the Hailstone shoreline from the campground almost all the way to the dam from 8.30am to 12.30pm and couldnt buy a smallie bite. We did catch 3 fat bows on perch taildancers, but those fish sure arent a smallmouth.
We fished up in the North arm. The fish seemed to be all over. But most of the fish we caught were on main lake points in about 7 feet of water. We caught all our fish on various plastics. Water temp was 52 degrees in the morning. In the afternoon it was up to 58 in some places. Kent the pictures I sent maniac were from another trip. I forgot my camera on this trip.

Don't forget Lake Q Tube.... just teasing. When I said that in a previous post, that was just to poke a tiny bit of fun at the X crowd... and don't worry Noob.... I used to wonder too.... [cool] This site is a hoot sometimes... The dude is right...sometimes there is so much well known pseudo "secrecy" on here that you wonder what the heck the people were doing.... smoking something or fishing.... must be something about invisible lines, black lights, smelly baits and the full moon..... or is it me?? [green][size 2]Lake X was christened Lake X on Jan. 5th 2004. JedBurton and myself were fishing Lake X thru the ice and I decided to call Lake X Lake X cause it is fun. The rule is you have to give away a clue where on Lake X your fishing ie Rockcliffs, Hailstone, River Arm,and Secret Place(plus, the place that Predator screamed like a little girl).
There is also a Lake Y( a Heavenly place).
