Hey there guys,

Shakers are the term used for undersized or short salmon by anglers trolling along California's coastline. When regulations require barbless hooks, the angler will recognize the fish is not legal and then shake the fish off the hook boatside without touching it or bringing it aboard.

I guess that term can also be used for the short lings as well. As long as you bring them up real sloooooow. You are then able to shake the jig out of thier mouths and watch them go down.[cool]
