Myself and Bassrods are planning a trip up to the Gorge to do some fishing for the holiday weekend. Plans are to depart int he morning Friday the 1st, and returning the evening of the 3rd to avoid the onslaught of returning vacationers.
Anyone else up for joining us for some big fish chasing?

LOTS OF FISH BEING CAUGHT TROLLING POP GEAR AND A CHUB. 3 GUYS WE SAW AT THE CLEANING STATION BOATED 18 MACKS ON FRI AND SIX ON SAT. THE SIX WE SAW WENT FROM 12 POUNDS TO 15 OR SO.

We plan on being up there the morning of the 2nd. We'll launch at Lucerne and be spend most of the time north. Be fishing mostly of Kok's along the cliffs north of swim beach and pipeline. If nothing there then up to Anvil. Be in a 23foot wellcraft costal named "FISH TAILS". See you there.

IVE HAVE NEVER FISHED THIS WAY. IT WAS WHAT I SAW THE 3 GUYS FROM RICHFEILD WERE USING. THE POP GEAR WAS HOME MADE. THE SPOONS WERE ABOUT 4 INCHES WIDE AND 7 TO 8 INCHES LONG. THE CHUBS WERE ABOUT 8 LONG AND 2 INCHES THICK. THE HOOK LOOKED KIND OF LIKE A BIG TREBLE WITHONE SHANK CUT OFF. I THINK THEY WERE NEEDLE THREDDED THROUGH THE VENT WITH REMAINING HOOKS POINTED UP ALONG SIDE OF CHUB.
