Well the God's
d on us and my dad and Grandfather and I were able to have a great Kokanee trip that kept the poles bending through out our two and a half day trip. Grandpa had never fished for the Kokanee before (He lives in California) and he had a blast reeling in those silver bullet's. We released numerous fish that were happy to head back to the deep blue and kept some nice ones for the dinner table. I think out of the 12 that we brought home...There were 4 of us fishing that day(a friend Wally being the fourth) One of the fish was 4.03pounds the rest were in the three/three and a half range and they were meaner then ever. The fish are starting to move down right now so the 40 foot mark is starting to hold some fish. Koke-nut's and cripplures were working best ...as well as a pink tasmanian devil's. We fished the Pipeline to Brinagar's ranch portion of the lake with good success.

glad to hear you had another good trip. you are having some year! i cant wait to get up there again and try some of the rigs you told me about. i only have one problem- i cant find a pink glow cripplelure anywhere. ive checked sportsmans, walmart, smith and edwards, and online. where do you get those darn things? i found everything else at sportmans and garts in riverdale.
just a word of advice for those of you planning on buying shasta sling blades- garts in riverdale (accross the street from sportsmans) has sling blades for about the same price as sportsmans. the difference is that they include a koke a nut with theres. so- thats a pretty good bargain!

SOUNDS LIKE THE WIND DIDNT EFFECT YOU LIKE IT DID US. BLEW US OFF SUNDAY IN ABOUT 3 HRS. DID GET FIVE BITES. MACKS ARE QUICK AND PRITTY DANG SMART. WATCHING THE FISH COME IN INSPECT THE JIG AND SPLIT IN A HURRY OFF THE SCREAN WAS COOL. LERNED A TON IN THOSE CUPLE HRS.

Don't hold your breath on those lures, He says he will send um but they never show up ( I think the mail man snagged them) or my sneeky neighbor did it one of the two.

I send them to the people that I know will use them.....and in my own defense this is the time of year that I am slammed and yes a few of the offer's fall through the crack's and I apoligize...I am trying to catch up as soon as I can. The product's go out as fast as we are making them..which dosen't leave alot of time for much else. As far as B-Kidder is concerned I am sending him a few out of my personal tackle bag so I AM SURE he will be getting his.
Word of advice though it might not hurry the mail system up to make comment's like that.

Quick question. How far back from the sling blade to you recommend hanging the koke-nut lure ? I tried last year, and didn't get anything on them(I was probably using the wrong color) but, I did get something on a cripple-lure(in blue) and a spotted blue needlefish on the same day that I tried the koke-nut. Maybe there is a special way to rig them up that I didn't use. Could that be the case ? What colors are available and do you have any advice on using them that may help me be more successful using them ? Also are you familiar with the down-rigger shuttle from shasta ? I just got one last fall and I'm not sure if I am using it correctly - I read the directions, but a little advice from some one with hand-on experience might be nice so I don't have the long drawnout learning curve of trial and error.

Thanks Jared, I appreciate your posts and keeping us all jazzed to go to the gorge. I have not been up since my May trip, but I will find a day or two this month sometime even if it kills me. It is always nice to have good fishing when you have the family with you. That makes for great memories for the future.
