They were taking helicoptor photos of my golf course this morning so I didn't have to work until noon and took the opportunity to get out on jordanelle at first light. It seems like it has been months since I've had a chance to wet a line. Started off tossing buzzbaits into the flooded brush and that paid off with four greenbacks in the first hour and a half or so. Nothing big, but it sure was cool to see a bass crash the surface again. About 8:00 I swithced to a perch shad rap and a small perch spinnerbait and picked up a smallie about every 45 minutes or so. Just before I checked out I hooked up the biggest fish of the day. Looked to be close to 18" or so, came out of the water dancing twice before he finally spit the hook. It was a beautiful morning, the water was glassy until 9:00. Water temp was 50* at launch, 41* in the river inlet and 53* when I left at 11:00. All fish were caught in less than 10 feet of water and the LMB's were all in 3' or less.

Glad you had a good time. I caught my first smallie with bassrods this weekend (Caught meaning hooked and not actually in the boat) but either way I want to chase those awsome bass some more.
Which is your course? Id love to come play it and talk about fishing. Or fish and talk about golfing - Im easy.

Man during the golfing season you are really out of the fishing game. I hope you get to hit balls often to help relieve some of the stress from the working world. Great report, we should get together one of these weekends and hook some fishies.

Spring time is what is really bad for me. After the first of July it will be all down hill and back on the water. To answer your question flyingfish. My course is called Tuhaye. If you were to walk about half way out of rockcliffs toward the main lake and then climb the hill to the north you would be sitting right in the middle of it. You can get a pretty decent look at the 3rd hole from the boat ramp at hailstone. As far as coming to play. I would love to get you and the thousand other people hitting me up for a round out on the golf course, but they are pretty tight. I can't even get family on the tee. I still wouldn't mind joining you for a round and a fishing discussion or visa versa, but we will have to play with the common folk.
