Here are some pics of an avalanch that crossed the road on RockCreek last winter. the pictures aren't very good but you can get the idea. If you have been up there the pictures are from the dump station at Yellow Pine campground. Even if the pictures were better they would not do it justice. The first thing I thought was holy s**t look at the power it must have created. That hillside was covered in trees last year. Where it crossed the road is probably 3 to 4 hundred yards wide.

I know the area your talking about, wow that is an unbelievable amount of damage. I'll look for it the next time I'm up there, it almost looks like a long bowling alley. WH2

That's some serious destruction. Makes me not want to be caught in any avalanch, beacon or no.

Looks like a new ski run. Just have to hike to the top.[cool]
