I took the kids out to Yuba yesterday for a couple of hours, to see if maybe I could catch some without Mr. O"S help. No such luck!!! We were out there at the dam side, and not a bite. We were using worms, marshmallows and me and my daughter were taking turns jigging with a Jake's. That usually works there. The old dam is now a lake in itself!! You can't drive down there like before, and walk around to fish. Also, there are tons of birds adding their droppings to the color of water, so you will want to fish to the West. I don't think we were in the right area: no current!! It was greattogojust to see the water's improvement!! We will have better luck next time, I hope!!!! Hey there Mrs. Ocean,

How much of a hike was it to the dam where you fished at ? I will be passing Yuba in the next week or so and might want to stop and fish there. Were you fishihng right in the rocks off the dam or were you trying further out ? How deep was the water you were fishing in ?
