[cool][#0000ff]Doesn't sound like the guy was too bright about float tubing in general and the physics of heat expanding gases in particular. Some guys head out into the lake in the morning, when it is cool, after inflating their tube to the max. Then, when the hot sun starts beating down on it, it expands. Something's gotta give. Whenever you tube in warm weather it is a good idea to check the tightness of the tube cover after awhile to make sure it is not getting ready to "blow".[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There have been quite a few tube "self destructs" when guys drive home in a hot car, without letting some air out of their tubes first.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Thanks for sharing the article. Almost as humorous as watching Bill Dunce showing people how to float tube...in a partially filled donut...trying to step into the tube after he already has his fins on and taking a gelandersprung. Sure are a lot of "exspurts" in this sport.[/#0000ff]
