Saturday, Got out about 6AM from Callville. Wind slacked for 2 hours starting at 7 and got into about 4 or 5 separate striper slurping events. Picked up 5 stripers for dinner in between fishing for bass. Biggest about 3 lbs. On swimbaits.
Seems bass pattern I wrote about last week is disintegrating. Maybe the winds, the shad spawn or just seasonal movement. Boat control was difficult - fished from anchored positions mostly; also fishing unweighted plastics I may have missed a lot of bites. Only positive bite was on a swimming jig and once on a Fat Ika (which may have been a striper); lots of taps from small bass, bluegills and a few flashes from larger fish. The larger bass were not as visibly present as last week, so don't know if they were in the areas or just inactive.
