[black][size 2]Dad and I finally got up to Strawberry Marina about noon-thirty. We went straight to the mouth of Mud Crick. Oh BTW, it was a pleasant 74 degrees air temperature with a westernly W.... coming from the western hills[blush]. Water temperature was 60 degrees and very clear.

Damn, we killed them all. One fish under the slot and over 30 fish in the slot. We fished about 4 1/2 hours and I was woken up 4 times by fish while trying to take a nap. A couple were about 20" but mostly the fish 17-18".

We drifted from the mouth of Mud all the way across the lake to "The Ledge". Baits were the "deadly secret combination"(grubs tipped with crawlers).

This was just like the olden days of the late 90's, alot of fun.

30 fish, not bad for 4.5 hours. Thats about how many we caught yesterday. So how did you do at the mouth of mud creek? And how did you fish it?

Strong work Tommy! Sounds like it was a lot of fun. Did you manage any bows?

Nah, the beaucepheuses don't like to hang out in 60ft of water.

Good to here you did well . I was amazed at all the chub spawning on the shore line sunday . Lots of feed for some bruisers . I was looking for bows and had one chase my maniac but due to the water clarity I was spotted and big beaupheuses did a 180 for the deep water . Next time I fish that stretch I will crawl on the bank and make like a rock .
