The Gentleman left promptly at 6:am. Capt John, DH/Capt Mike, DH Brian, PH Sean and Cathy at the spatula.
We took on only 25 and headed for Anacapa after hearing that the water was warming up.
The day started off with a few Calicos as well as a couple nice Cudas. We continued on the Calicos as the water hit a nice ripe 66 degrees. It went wide open for about 2 straight hours.
When it shut down, we hit the depths for some of those little red, brown and multi colored critters.
You won't believe the JP!!! My little cigar, 8.86lb Cuda took 2nd place to a healthy 9.22lb Calico Bass (released). 3rd place was my 8.59lb cuda.
I can't wait till the nicer cudas show up. They will generally run from 8 to 12lbs by the time they get to the Channel Islands.[]
We got back to the docks around 3:40pm[cool]
