I caught fish in Mantua that must have gotten out of the hatchery.. They where Browns with cutt markings.. I thought it was strange but figured they must have been some mistake up stream.. I got more
when I caught more in temple fork stream up logan canyon..
Got any ideas on how or why I am seeing this...

Do you have any pics? I would,nt rule out anything but I would say you had some Cutts that were different then you were used to seeing. Brown trout spawn in the fall and cutts in the spring so cross breeding would be impossible in the wild. However the dwr has tried to cross everthing in efforts to come up with sterile fish that grow fast. All in an effort to force cutts down our throats.[

SHHHHH, you can't tell people about Temple Fork, its a secret! Just kidding. I too like to fish Temple fork, I have mostly caught Cutts in there, But I have caught the occasional brown above Red Banks. It's not inconcievable to think they may have got a few into Temple Fork as well. By the way, did you leave any for me to catch?
