[red] Well , fished Willard this morning with my son. Launched from the South marina around 6:30 am. Not very many boats out there that early. We fished mostly around the Feedlot area, making large wide S-turns and the depth varied from 14-20 ft. Water temp was 74 degrees and just a hint of breeze. [/red]
[#ff0000] After a couple of hours of getting a little bored, my son decided to try something a little different. He used a Pink lady diver and a rather long leader and tied a Shad Rap to the end . Not sure how much line was out. In 19 feet of water he caught a 20 inch Walleye. His very first Walleye ever. As for me I was able to snag a very ugly dead CARP. We both thought that I had nailed a Giant until we looked at where my line was , and had a good laugh.[/#ff0000]
[#ff0000] Anyway wasn't great fishing , but still had a good time. Left at 11:00. We will try again later.[/#ff0000]

[black]What is a "Pink Lady Diver"? Is it something like a Dipsy Diver?[/black]
[black][/black]
[black]I can just hear your son now "Hey dad, what do you say we hit Willard again ... maybe you'll be lucky enogh to snag yourself another carp!" [Tongue] [Tongue][/black]
[black][/black]
[black]Sounds like the water temp has gone down a bunch from last Thursday's 81 degrees.[/black]

PInk Lady Diver and a DIpsy Diver are the same thing.

[red]The Pink lady Diver is just like the Dipsy Diver. Does the same job. I have some pics, but i don't know how to resize.[/red]

AFDAN52, glad to hear that you made it out. Did you see any boils or shad activity? Jake

[red] Hi Jake, no we didn't see any boils and yes we were looking around for them. Didn't see too many fish being boated. But there were some folks at the cleaning station , so I guess they were biting somewhere out there.[/red]

Hi Dan, A friend of mine and my son were out on the pond in the morning as well. We fished the feed lot and the island areas too, I'm not sure what your boat looks like but we were in a green / white Starcraft, and yes early on there were very few boats out there, but that had changed by the time we left about 1:30ish. We managed to get the mixed bag everyone else is catching these days: catfish, walleye, and wipers. Saw quite a few small boils that would only last for a couple of seconds and a fair amount of dead carp, although we weren't so lucky as you to get one![laugh]
We used shad raps, Yo-Zuris, Wally Divers, and rattle traps and caught two wipers, three eyes, and 6 or 7 catfish. Certainly not a super productive day but the variety of fish was interesting.

[red] Hi there fonduvfishin, I remember your boat , I was telling my son that your Starcraft is the style of boat I want to get next. By the way nice rig.[/red]
[#ff0000] You were trolling East along the Feedlot area and there was a green boat along side of you going in the same direction with 2 guys in it. That was me and my son. My son had his Cowboy hat on.[/#ff0000]
[#ff0000] I still think that we need t o get some type of BFT boat flags to put on our boats when we are out on the water. Getting hard to know members anymore.[/#ff0000]
