I will be staying in salt lake next weekend and i want to take advantage of willard while i am up there. I will be fishing it sat afternoon thru the evening and on sunday morning till the afternoon. Any suggestions on good shoreline spots to fish?I will be in my blazer so the rough road wont be a problem.

I always do good about 500 yards south of the light pole. Not sure what to use from shore this time of year.

You can fish on the East side of the outlet of the South marina, right were it goes into the bay. I've seen people do good at times in that area for wipers and cats. There have been several reports in the last few weeks of wipers boiling in the channel right before sunset. The only problem is you have to walk in from the baffles and it is a long walk. The S/W or S/E corners are other areas that can be good at times. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Ocean If you are driving pickup truck then go to west side fish between 1-2 miles from the light pole I use 1/8 hook size and 4 inches beetle grub and if they are boiling then use the top water lure. If you are driving car I suggest you should go to North Marina before you turn left to marina there is a dust road and about 300 yards it is a parking lot you can park and walk 1/2 -1 mile this is north east corner it is good spot also
I might be fishing at willard bay this weekend too. I refer fishing wiper from shore at night time it is way better than from boat by troling. I saw boiling very close to shore so good luck and hope you catch some

Believe it or not I was out at willard on sunday night and was catching 23 inchers like crazy on carp guts. I would cast out and before it hit bottom we would have a fish on. This lasted for about an hour and a half.
