[cool]Happy birthday, Ron. Glad you were able to spend it the way I always do (on the pond)! Those are some good lookin' tigers. Makes me excited for it to be the first lake to freeze up for ice fishin'. It always seems to me that in about August or so I start to really miss ice fishin'.[crazy]

Nice fish! I would like to catch some tigers. Do you mind telling us how you rigged the minnows? In one of the photos, it looks like you were using a jig hook.

yeah i was rigging my minnows on a jig head..i put the minnow on sideways with the head of the minnow close to the head of the jig..i need to get with TD and make some light jig heads with over sizes hook for that rig tho.. my minnows are bigger this year than normal and that is why i think i was missing so many yesterday..
but my buddy was cutting the minnow into chuncks and flylineing the chuncks and doing better than any of us.. there was another guy up there in his tube. he is form here in Mt.Plesant i see him up at huntington alot on his tooner or tube and he was useing a white maribo jig tiped with a worm and he was kicking them out at a good pace himself..
the fish wanted a vertical presentation yesterday most the time so that is why I stuck with the 1/16 oz jig head.. I fished like i was ice fishing.. i would drop to the bottom bring it up about 2 feet and just let it set dead stick and that is when i got alot of my hit's..
the other guy with the white jig's was putting his to the bottom and slowley draging it right on the bottom with a jigging action now and then and that woked good for him..
my buddy that was chuncking the minnow was just casting the chunck out about 20 feet and leting it sink slowley and got most his hitts as it was dropping.. if he did not get a hit on the way down he would let it drop to the bottom and deadstick for a min or two then cast out again..
there was guys fishing from the shour and not doing any good so i think the vertical presentation was the diffrense between catching and just fishing..

Thanks! That's VERY helpful information. I'll give it a try myself soon, if I'm lucky enough to get up to Huntington.
