There's a lot going on this weekend, but if you have a moment, why not stop by and help keep this backyard river looking good!

Just a quick report:

The cleanup was a great success! We had a good group of volunteers show up and the city crews were there in force.

We were able to take a lot of trash out of the river and banks (weird trash prize winner: a pair of tighty-whities) and we removed a lot of dead brush to improve angler/boat access points.

Ogden City provided a great BBQ with all the hot dogs, Doritos, potato salad, and soft-baked cookies anyone could ask for. Not to mention the giant cooler packed with ice-cold pop.

Weber State's Wilderness Recreation Center was there and had a free raffle for camping and river gear. I didn't win the boat rental or the camp stove, but I'll get over it.

This is an annual event, so keep it in mind for next year.

Enjoy a couple of pics,
