A free hot dog and beverage lunch will be served to all tournament registrants’ compliments of the Chula Vista Yacht Club. A raffle and awards presentation will immediately follow the competition. Raffle prizes and tournament awards have been provided by Target, Wal-Mart, Zebco, West Marine, [/size][/font]Boating World Marine Centers, Okuma, Jamicha De-Fishing Soap, Friends of Rollo, Chuck Byron Galleries, Pt. Loma Landing, H & M Landing and others.

[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]The tournament scoring will be based on a point system. Winners will be recognized in each age group with a beautiful IGFA certificate and a special prize. The angler with the most points overall will additionally be recognized on a perpetual trophy provided by artist David Wirth. [/size][/font]

[font "Times New Roman"][size 3]Anglers are encouraged to bring their own fishing tackle, although a limited number of fishing outfits provided by Okuma Fishing Tackle will be available for loan, on a first-come, first-serve basis. IGFA and SDSC representatives and volunteers from the United Pier and Shore Anglers of California (UPSAC) will be on hand to assist young anglers and tally points. [/size][/font]

The San Diego Sportfishing Council represents [/size][/font]San Diego’s passenger sportfishing fleet. Both the IGFA and San Diego Sportfishing Council support and encourage expanded participation in sportfishing, particularly by young anglers. The San Diego Sportfishing Council and IGFA are sponsoring this tournament series to promote local fishing from San Diego’s public piers. There are four piers in San Diego Bay; on Shelter Island, in Chula Vista, National City and at the Embarcadero. A fifth pier extends into the Pacific Ocean from Imperial Beach. Fishing from San Diego’s public piers is free and does not require a California fishing license.
