Since I didn't get to go to the flotilla last night I dropped the wife off at her moms, and hit Mantua with Pineview fisher and garbageman jr. Took the new float tube " the deviant " out for her maiden voyage. Caught my first large mouth bass, and a few of his little brothers. We also caught a few perchies. I have to say that I am SOLD!!! on Maniac baits. I threw a pumpkin seed colored salt stick out and on the 2nd cast...WHAM! Caught two more in 15 min. or so. I still got out fished by pineview fisher, but he'll get his soon enough[] (LOL). All in all a great day to fish. Btw how has Willard been in the wee hours of the morning for wipers?

Those are quite the lunkers ! That's what it was like for me when I was at Mantua - fast and furious but the fish were on the "smaller" side. But that's fine with me, a lot of small fish somehow equals a couple of large ones when it comes to fun on the water - for me that is.

I have never tried maniac lures stuff - what size was working for your "whales" and where did you pick them up ?

Yeah, they weren't lunkers but they sure were fun! I think the trailer will work out well. I ordered a replacement spring this week and a little steel. I plan to beef up the edges and a little bit. Thanks again! Clint.
