Got up to Schofield Saturday. Waited for my cousin to get there with the boat. By the time he arrived a storm was buewing and he decided to take a power nap.
When he finally got up andd was ready to hit the lake (about 4pm, the bum) we headed out.
Launched and noticed he didn't have nurtural. This has been a issue in the past (last time we went to Schofield) Then as we taxied out towards the middle he noticed he wasen't getting full power. Now at this point Colt (Black Lab) decides he needs a bathroom break. We pulled into shore let him run and when we got back in the boat it wouldent turn over. Messed with a few things, then we had no power.....at least to the starter for some weird reason. The battery was fully charged.
Cousin got pissed. Then we tryed to crank over the trollling motor, which has always been reliable..NOT THIS TIME ! Stranded on the shore, my wife and I start walking the shore to flag down a boat that was close by. by the time we got there attention a Ranger had already pulled up to our boat. Kinda was geting worried cause the sun was going down and it was getting cold and we didn't bring anything for warmth. Anyway we got towed back in loaded the boat went back to camp had a great dinner and lots of beer..... [blush]
I got up this morning and made a quick trip over to the damn for about 1 1/2 hours and only had 1 hit.

I sware to the all mighty above that im not supposed to be in flotation device!!@

[cool]Sounds like the old curse continues, Marshall! Scofield should really start picking up in the next month or so clear on through first ice (Thanksgiving). THEN THE FISHING GETS REALLY HOT (for about a month or so, just in time for the 'berry to freeze up). Hope your next trip goes better.

hey i was up there sat evening and watched you being towed in.
was shorebound, trying to get some dads and shiners. I caught one fish...a 3-4 inch rainbow...lol. I actually got a bigger shiner in my minnow trap.

Sounds like you had better luck than I did. I heard they were catchin the fish off of minnows and worm/marshmellow combo from the shore.
