went to huntington today.. got there around 8:30 this morning got the tubes off loaded and was on the lake around 9:00.. fishing was slow for the first hour or so..only one bite in that time..then a big storm came rolling in from the north with the big W starting it off rageing up to 30 mph at times.. but the fish just started to go off out in the deeper water by the dam.. it rained it hailed then it realy got with it!! but the fishing was just to good to get off the water!! but i was to cold seeing that i left my coat in the truck so in i went to fech it.. by the time i got in the storm was winding down some.. so i grabed my coat and hit the tube again.. got out to find the fishing just as hot as when the storm was rageing..the fishing stayed good for next 2 hrs or so then died down again for a hour or so but we still were catching some here and there..then around 2:30 or so another storm came rolling in and that was enough time to head home.. we cought around 15 fish each and as always we missed alot more than we hooked.. i was catching them on a black leech looking thing tipped with minnow..my buddy was hitting his with a black feather jig tipped with power yuck...

sorry everyone did not take the camrea with today.. but we did have some nice fishing up there once again today.

Hey Fuzzyfisher, good post. My boy and I were up there yesterday, Friday checking on the elk. Drove by Huntington in the morning and there were some fish jumping. We put on bubble and flies and tried to catch something. We caught a few 3-6 inch tigers. I was glad to see the F&G planted some more in there. What was the size you were catching? I've only caaught them through the ice. They are a nice fish. We spent a couple of hours fishing the Huntington River. My boy and I are just getting into fly fishing. We caught quite a few nice river browns. Fun. Thanks again, Flashyfish
