Anna and I went driving around today. We were looking for new water and some permission.
We drove over this bridge and Anna yelled...."Dad I see a BIG trout on this side of the bridge!"

I said Ya right Anna................

She was so adamant that she saw a big trout......we looked around for the people that owned the water.....

We got permission on the stretch.

We got out and went downstream from the trough hole that went under the bridge.

I was still kinda skeptical about a big fish in there.....I had a size 9 yo yuri crystal minnow on from fishing bigger water earlier........i was kinda lazy and didn't take it off....

First cast this male brown CRUSHED the size 9 stick bait.

Anna casted/ fought/landed and attempted to unhook it....The big male had inhaled the (2) treble hooked stick bait....NO way to save it.

Anna is 9 years old.
