[black]I have two Idaho sturgeon trips planned. The second trip is booked, but I still have two openings on the first trip, which is:[/black]

Thursday September 8th through Saturday September 10th

Expenses: We share actual expenses for the bait and the gas for the Suburban and the boat. Each of us paid about $60 for these shared expenses back in May of this year. With fuel prices being up some I anticipate the shared expenses being a little more. Compare this for one day of fishing at $250 for one and $400 for two with a charter company.

An out of state license costs $11.50 for the first day and $5.00 for each additional day ($21.50 total for three days), and we purchase licenses from Wal-Mart, in Jerome, Idaho on the way up.

We camp in a free area, so the only other expenses are for food up there, and we eat going and coming.

If you are short on sturgeon tackle I have tackle that can be borrowed. No guarantees, but we have done well on the last three trips. If you are interested in going on these trips, or want to be added to the list of those who get invites before a general invite is posted send me a PM.

Until you have caught one of these yourself, you can't imagine the thrill of having a large sturgeon on the end of your line:

PS -- Forgot to mention you will be able to help me celebrate my 34th wedding anniversary on the 9th. Wonderful wife to give me a kitchen pass on our anniversary!

I've already got plans for that weekend, but I would love to be put on the list for concideration for future trips. Judging by your previous posts about sturgeon it seems like you chase them spring and fall and those are great times for me to slip away on a little fishing trip.

[#505000]The price is right, but unfortunately I am going to be in Vegas during this trip. I wouldn't mind a future invite though. Just out of curiosity what does "sturgeon tackle" consist of???[/#505000]

At least the way I celebrate mine anyway...[Tongue][shocked][shocked][shocked][shocked][angelic][blush][cool]

Sturgeon tackle consists of a rod and reel that can handle 30 pound minimum (I use 80 pound Dacron line) and stand up to reeling a hard-fighting fish that could go over 300 pounds. Very similar to what one uses to fish through the ice at Rockport for perch!

You make a valid point.

Wish you gave a little more notice i would have loved to go! I have to give my job at least a 2 week notice. [pirate] I do want to tangle with one of those brutes and see how much of a fight they give.

Sounds like a steal of a deal Kent, If I had enough coverage in the store I would hang with you in a heartbeat.
