Well, its been roughly 1 and a half months since I've caught a single fish. With the temperatures creeping down in the last week, I decided to give my old spot at 8 Mile road a try this past Wednesday.

I set up my rod stand, and standing in the water, I could tell it dropped a few degrees. I was kinda happy. I hated standing knee deep in spa temp water to keep cool.

Also, I decided to bring some chum with me. I used about 2-2.5 gallon of boiled Maize, 1 big tub of Oatmeal, and some molasses as a binder, and chummed one large area about 30 feet wide about 15 feet off shore. It worked really well. It took from around 3:45 til around 5pm for the fish to start feeding. It was awesome watching the silt come up, and all the bubbles trailing about. Got my first fish around 5:15, second 6pm, one big 15lb lump around 6:40 or so, and my final 10 lbr around 7:30. I forgot to buy propane for my lantern, or I would ahve stayed later, I left right after.
