If you mean to cool your drink no problem. If you want it on the water so you can walk on it, I can wait for a few months. Still lots of places I want to fish from my boat.

i was thinking about that this weekend. winter is coming soon. I went to Scofield, what last weekend?, ugh memory is not so good anymore. anyway, it was pretty cool/cold up there after the sun went down.
i'm gonna have to hook up with someone from this site and do some ice fishing this year. Never been, but am definitely wanting to check it out.

Just be careful if you go with Don...he likes to try to park his 3 wheeler at the bottom of the lake[] I think he feels that he can cheat and use it as an artificial reef!

[cool]Guppyslayer, you're on the right board to learn from some great icefishermen. I'm sure one of the ice experts on this board can take ya out. I'm not the best ice fisherman on this board, but I rarely get skunked at it anymore, so if all else fails you can go out there with me sometime! Scofield usually has safe ice on Thanksgiving weekend or the week after. Hunington usually freezes up a week or two before that, but it's quite a drive, so I usually hit Scofield first. It stays hot for the first month or so, and then after a ton of pressure it slows down, but at that time the berry usually is frozen (at least in a few bays that is safe to fish before the whole lake is frozen) and the berry is where your chances of getting a BIG trout lie. THen, by new years day or just after, Rockport usually freezes up and it's fun to nail dozens of perch and little slime rockets. I wanna get some 'eyes through the ice this year too at Starvation or maybe Utah Lake will have some safe ice this year.
Man, I wish it was here already!!

ICE ICE ICE. Hold up I just got back from my summer vacation. I just got the boat out for some fall fishing. The cooler weather will feel good but I have 12 week left to save up enough money to pay for the gas it will take to get to some of my favorite ice.
