A lobbyist, on his way home from work in WashingtoN D.C.,
came to a dead halt in traffic and thought to
himself, "Wow, this seems worse than usual."

He noticed a police officer walking between the lines
of stopped cars, so he rolled down his window and
asked, "Officer, what's the hold-up?"

The officer replied, "The President is depressed, so
he stopped his motorcade and is threatening to douse
himself with gasoline and set himself on fire. He says
no one believes his stories about why we went to war
in Iraq, or the connection between Saddam and
al-Qaeda, or that his tax cuts will help anyone except
his wealthy friends. So we're taking up a collection
for him."
The lobbyist asks, "How much have you got so far?"

The officer replies, "About 14 gallons, but a lot of
folks are still siphoning.
Even at $3.00 a gallon I'll donate a half a tank.

How can I help! I will give the gas in all three of my cars and my boat even the gas I have for my lawnmower. Anything to help out...

That's a funny picture!!! [cool][Tongue]

I'm no democrat, but I did vote for Kerry, (which I define simply as a vote against Bush, not necessarily "for" Kerry.) Sure wish either party would produce somebody that could lead this country with skill and honor.

well said cat man.

it would be nice to have a great leader again, that
stood for what is in the best interest for the people
of this country.
I'll throw in a few gallons, and even provide a match.

Yah...Yah...Yah...

You guys talk a good game- but we all know that he'd no sooner finish smoldering when all you Lib's would be lining up to blame him for contaminating the ground and water with spilt gas and polluting the air with toxic smoke...

CNN would even have video of a displaced family of squirrels blaming the Pres for late FEMA checks...

And so it goes- PB

Do give us your definition of a lib, Papa. Was Goerge Washington a Lib? Was Thomas Jefferson?
Please tell us, what is a lib?
[signature]
A "lib" is a person who would donate gasoline to see the president of their country burn and then blame someone else for it[Tongue]..

p.s. George Washington had no party affiliation and Thomas Jefferson found the first political party in america and it was called the republican party. However, it later changed into the democratic party, which is not what we know today as "lib".

Actually, most liberals lean more towards being pacifists and/or antiviolence. [Tongue][cool]

Personally, I would consider myself to be a moderate I guess you'd call it, or maybe I'm a "conservative liberal" if that makes any sense. No, I'm not a fence-sitter, but I tend to lean conservative in some areas and liberal in others.

I'm against abortion except in certain extreme cases like the life of the mother is at risk or she was raped, for example, but I'm completely against the Iraq war and have been since the day we invaded (and before).

Most are pacifists and antiviolent in nature, I'll give ya that[cool]. But as far as having respect for the office of president of the United States, well that's a completely different story. If its not their guy, then its do what you can to bring him down. I didn't necessarily like Clinton or his policies, but darn it, he was the president of our country and I respected that. If john kerry were elected, i would have respected that as well. You won't get that from a "lib"[Wink]..
[signature]
I should have known Ken Star and most of the republican party were libs. Rush Limbaugh? Must be a lib., Ann Coulter, for sure. "If it's not their guy then it's do what you can to bring him down"
[signature]
Whatever gets you through the night! Just keep telling yourself that!

I think it is about time we had someone who stand up for the people and finish what he started. I agree with what is happening in Iraq. Unless you think it is wrong to help someone else recieve the same rights you have. For instance the right to get on this forum and talk about this without being afraid of being killed by your government. If you have forgotten what happened at the twin towers and how much financial and moral support Sadam gave them then you should go and live the way those people have been living and see what you think of what you have here. I would not give a drop of gasoline that you are so willing to throw at someone who is trying to do a job non of us will ever have the ability to perform and and think you have done a good thing. You all need to take a step back and rejoice that we have someone who will fight for not only our rights but for the rights of someone else and follow through with what they had started instead of leave the job half finished and cause more problems for us down the road.

I know there are many more out there that think the way I do about this later drew

Well said Sasquatch. My father was Navy for 18 years, my two brothers are Army and we all support what is going on in Iraq. I assure you that none of us truly know the extent of the responsibilities our President deals with everyday. It is very easy to sit in front of channel 5 news every night and curse the leader of your free country. I beleive in doing something to change the things you don't like, but offering gas to burn your President makes you no better than Osama or Saddam in my book.
[signature]
Your refering to George Sr. right? I mean you mentioned leaqving the job half finished and causing more problems down the road.
[signature]
That brings up a good point. It also re-emphsizes the idea behind my previous comments. That we need to support what is happening in Iraq. So that it will be completed this time and we won't have to deal with these problems in that area of the world again. Then also when we need assistance with something they will be willing to step up and show thier gratitude for what we have done for them, by supporting us in our time of need.

[font "Viner Hand ITC"][#ff4040][size 3]I don't think that it will ever be completed. You can never get rid of people that have no will to live.[/size][/#ff4040][/font]
