I had to dissapear for a couple of months to attend training for my new job so I have'nt been on BFT for awhile. (I used to cruise here at least a couple of times a day.) I checked in once in August and was able to download TubeDude's "notes" on Utah Lake Catfishing to my Pocket PC which gave me something other than training material to read in my precious little spare time. (Thanks T.D. I look foreward to more.) The simulator training was in Long Beach, CA and on the last day there when I was all finished I headed out to a pier and watched the locals catch smelt and mackerel, it made me jealous to say the least.
I got back into town on Monday, lounged around most of the day and then on Tues morning headed down to Cabela's to "explore" and drool.
I've tried to catch up on the 19 pages of posts that I've missed and I'm hopeing to get out and fish for at least a half-day before I head out again on Monday. I was thinking Utah Lake or perhaps some lakes along the Mirror Lake Highway. (Any suggestions??)
Hopefully as I settle into my new schedule (if you can call it that) I'll be checking on more and hopefully FISHING MORE!!

Good to have you back. I thought I saw you at Willard last Saturday when a small plane flew low over the S/W corner, when I waved, the plane tipped it's wings back and forth. The fishing is usually good along the Mirror Lake Highway, good luck where ever you go. WH2

Welcome back to SLC. Let me know when you find some time to do some fishing and maybe I can join you.

No, not me over Willard last saturday (although this past spring and early summer that may have been likely) I was in a full motion simulator dealing with just about every hairy emergency our instructor could come up with. My small plane days are gone for now. I sure like flying them and I'm sure when the time (and money) is available, I'll get back into them. If I had flown over in what I'm working in now - you really would have noticed!
[Tongue]"Ladies and gentlemen if you look outside the left hand side of the aircraft you will see a bunch of friendly anglers waving at us. Lets return the gesture and all of you wave back at them. Do me a favor and look to see if any of them have caught anything - I'm planning a trip up here soon."[Tongue]

Hey CBR,
I'd love to give you a call when I get the chance to get out. You seem to be able to do the last minute half-day thing from time to time.
Did you ever get to use that free flight lesson certificate you won?
