I read that they make em smell better and toughen em up a lil.But how long do u soak them in it,will they drown? Or can i just dip em in it for a few seconds or minute? I doubt it works as good as my garlic spray but i'm gonna try it...

I think I would stay away from the red beet juice, mostly because it is made with vinigar.

now there are dies that are used on live worms to change thier colors, most comonly used are the nitro or a yellowis green die that walleye and bass go krazie over.

you can buy the worms already died or you can buy the die to put in a box of worms.

if this sounds like what you want and cant find the readied colored worms let me know and I will find the link for the die for you...

I'd like some die for catfish.I haven't got into bass fishin yet although i accidentally hooked a 10 pounder catfishing 1 day a half mile from my house... We went to a great catfish lake that nobody knows about, its not on mississippi wildlifes website or anything. But we had a bad day.Mostly because of the 2 clowns "bassfishermen" i rode with.i caught 1 cat then we fished for a few more minutes and they said hey lets troll along the edges and bream and bassfish. It was pathetic,i guess i will have to show them what i catch when i go by myself and pick the great spots they wouldn't go near. Also the guy was trolling kinda close to shore for bassfishin on way back to truck and hit lil stump with outboard,i told him we needed trollin motor but maybe he will listen next time...

Just like DTC said. Stay away from the stuff that has vinegar. That will pickle the worms and render them useless for fishing.

If you wanted to do some mild coloring, then use the natural beets. Simply put them in a food processer and pulverize them.

Remove the beets and spread that mixture in a bowl with some newspaper shreddings. Let your worms stay in there for about 5 days to get the full color.
