[black][black]As I was trolling outside of the North Marina today(Saturady, October 1), the wind picked up and having forgotten my oars and fins, I headed back into the marina, so, if my motor or battery gave out I wouldn't have been stranded on the other side of the lake and had to walk back. While I made my way back in, I was surprised at what I happened upon and landed in my net.

It was someones tackle box - loaded with a variety of fishing tackle. It was floating, so, I picked it up out of the water. Obviously, it hadn't been in the water but a very short time.

So, if anyone knows someone that may have lost a tackle box overboard - let me know. I will be glad to get it back to that person.

I am sure whoever lost it would want it back, so ask around to folks you know that may have been there today. Also, check your own tackle supplies to see if maybe one of your boxes is missing.

It contains 29 lures and 19 misc. pieces of tackle and of course the semi-clear plastic tackle box itself.

P.S. The person should be able to identify at least something specific or at least give some indication of some of the contents in order for me to know who it belongs to. [/black][/black]

[cool][#0000ff]At least you got SOMETHING. I got one small cat, a lotta wind, a bunch of floating algae (on my lures every cast) and a few light whacks on plastic.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Oh yeah, I also found a quarter in the sand where I launched first, and a dime where I launched inside the marina, to join you and to escape the wind. That 35 cents may have covered the final top-off squeeze on the gas pump when I refilled after the trip.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Still, it was good seeing you and the other BFTers who showed up for the duck opener. Oh yeah, I did find a floating duck. Looked freshly croaked. Musta been one that kept flying for a ways after catching a load of buckshot from the blasters on the other side of the levee.[/#0000ff]
