Not sure how many people here fish it, but it appears DWR started the fall trout stocking of willow pond sometime within the past few days. First batch was approx 1000 9-10" rainbows. Hitting ok on bright powerbaits. Watched a few people get their 4 fish limit inside of an hour. Looking at the stocking sched, they usually do bountiful pond around the same time. If you live in SLC it's nice for light trout action without a long drive to strawberry.

I love the concept, for fast relief of fishing deprivation, or for a place to go for young anglers. However, I choose not to compete with the "tanglers" generally found there.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I live fairly close to Willow Park Pond, but have only been there twice. Neither time did I even carry tackle. I went mostly just to observe, and possibly to help a youngster in need. Neither time did I even see any young people. Just adults with stringers and/or buckets with which to load up everything they caught.[/#0000ff]
