NWS forecast for Strawberry from Saturday thru Sunday:
- 70% chance of snow, 3 to 4 inches.
- High temperature of 36 degrees.
- Wind out of the NW at 25 mph.
Hey, it doesn't get any better than that! Something about a cold, sloppy, nasty, windy day really turns that reservoir on.
Besides, it keeps all the fair-weather wannabees home in front of their televisions either watching BYU work hard on that stellar 1-10 season while Utah mightily prays for a 6-5 finish, or suffering along with Alex Smith as he tries to survive his first butt-whuppin' as a starter behind a miserable Niner offensive line.
I'll bet Bronco would rather be at the 'Berry!!!

Should be fine as long as your off the lake by Saturday afternoon.
... Winter Storm Watch in effect from late Saturday night through
Monday morning above 8000 feet...
The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
Winter Storm Watch... which is in effect from late Saturday night
through Monday morning.
Rain showers will develop over the mountains of eastern Utah late
Saturday... spreading east into western Colorado Saturday evening.
The rain will slowly change over to snow Saturday night... and will
continue through the early Monday. The heaviest snows will
initially be confined to elevations above 10000 feet Saturday
night... before lowering to near 8000 feet Sunday night. Total snow
accumulations of 8 to 16 inches will be possible with this
system.
In addition... southwest winds from 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50
mph will be common... resulting in areas of blowing and drifting
snow. The winds will gradually swing around to the west and
northwest during the day on Sunday as a cold front moves across
the region.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow accumulations and strong winds that may impact travel. Continue to
monitor the latest forecasts by visiting the Grand Junction
National Weather Service web site at weather.Gov/gjt.

Cool!
We're (yes, there are others as foolish as I) planning on going Sunday morning.
Maybe...
Tenitively...
Subject to review and reconsideration...
And I'm launching my k/boat from a southeastern location into the wind as I've learned more than one exhausting lesson on that pond!

[cool]I think all 3 of the coaches for the teams you mentioned would probably rather be at the berry this weekend. Hope you catch fish, and don't forget to report for the rest of us who are STUCK at home this weekend.
Bring on the ice already!!

I'll be at the Berry huddled down and rippen lips.
