I guess I can say that "the commander" has inspired me. With all his B.S. about catching monster fish with ease, I got to thinking that all us "real" fisherpersons have probably landed some beautiful fish over the years.

What are the top 2 or 3 best fish you've ever caught? Poste em up with pictures if you have em. It would be fun for all to see some pics of beautiful fishies from recently or from years past.

For me, a 31lb Coho and a 52lb King both caught on a charter trip.
Fishing by myself: Not much to brag about, a 10lb mac this summer, a couple of 5.5lb Kokanee and one 6lb bow a few years back at the berry.

The couple of personal bests that stick out the most for me are a 26" brown caught on the upper green that took me into my backing twice (no pic). A 23" Large mouth bass I caught while wading a flooded grass flat on Steinaker (no pic), and a 29.5" walleye a couple of weeks ago at UL

The first two were a few years ago, before I had a digital camera and I was on foot some ways from the truck, both were released unharmed. The walleye made the trip home for dinner.
I've caught a few fish that were bigger (macs from the gorge, carp, catfish, etc) but these are the ones that I am most proud of.

That is a NICE fat walleye Phil. Caught just a couple weeks ago eh? I'll bet he was tasty!

In honor of UTC, who is really only a puffed up chicken who is to afraid to respond to my challenge, I'll post a pic of my best fish.

This is a 97lb even King. It was and still is the largest King caught thru the guide I used. It is only 4 oz off the world record. I must admit though, that his was probably over 100lbs because he didn't get it weighed until several hours after he caught it. I have better pics of it, but I had to keep cropping it to get it under the 250K limit.

That is a huge king! Congrats on that dog.

Well since I am pretty much limited to where I can fish one of my best cathes was a carp, I know everyone thinks so what but for me it was a big deal. He was 31 inches long and I landed him with 6lb. test.I don't have the capability to post pictures.
Also the first year I went ice fishing I pulled a nice 18 inch cutthroat from Lost Creek. The same year I pulled a 22 inch brown through the ice at Echo.

Nothing wrong with that at all! Any fish you are happy to catch is a great fish.

CARP!!![crazy]

All kiddin aside I think carp are one of the better fighting fish one can tangle with. They get a bad rep because we dont like to eat them.

Carp.
Yep, they can be real scrappers and a hoot to play with on lighter tackle. Of course, my idea of light tackle starts at 12lb test! [Wink]
