I don't usually put up questions like this, but tomorrow, I am taking my float tube up to the Berry for the first time and was wonering about suggestions for a good launch site, close to parking? I have a good bit of ice experience up there but I haven't fished up there much during this time of year since I moved back to the state. Thanks in advance.

[cool]Well, let's see (hopefully I don't leave any out, but there's SO many that I might forget a few places): Any of the boat ramps (Strawberry marina, Renegade boat ramp, S.C. boat ramp), The Ladders, Mud Creek Bay, Jakes Bay (which is Chicken Creek East), Aspen Grove Campground. Those are the places I know of where you don't have to walk far with your tube to get to the water. I'm sure others will let you know of a few other spots, but this should at least get you a head start. Good luck, and let us know how you do!

[cool]Oh yeah, and another thing-don't forget to take your NEOPRENE waders, or you'll freeze your "jewels" off. I'd take some wool socks as well and a winter coat or at least a fleece jacket and some good gloves.

Bryants Fork, you can drive right down to the water by the tunnel pump house. And I always catch fish from my tube in this bay.

Barry,

When I was up there Monday I saw some float tubers launching in the Ladders area and you can drive down to close to shore.
Good luck. What time are you going up? A friend from work wants to try fishing from a float tube so I will be taking him to Deer Creek and will be launching at Rainbow Bay.

Every stinkin' time I launch at the Strawberry marina I see a bunch of fish on my finder right close to the ramp. I've never caught one but they are always there & oughta be ripe for the taking.
