Took the day off Friday to go fish Strawberry. It sure was worth the trip. Fished over in Chicken Creek east. Got there about 8:00 am. By the time my little compressor filled up the float tube, I was in the water by 8:20. Caught first fish in about 10 mins. After that it was pretty much non-stop catching. Fish finder showed water was 51 degrees. Most of all the fish were caught 15-23 feet deep. I was probably about 150 yards out from shore. Alittle bit of moss, but not bad. Caught 25 fish in the 5 hours I was fishing. Thats not counting all the ones I missed. Or got off the hook. I was using tube jigs tipped with worm. The color that seemed to work the best was pearl white with black flakes. The cutts sure do destroy those jigs. Green with red flakes also did pretty good. Every fish caught was a cutt. All were in the slot 16-20 inches.
