Hit the South Fork today and only caught white fish. I didn't see one trout anywhere. The browns are spawing and I can't seem 'em. I hit Bots and Perception and the regular holes only coughed up white fish. Any suggestions.

PS. For those who don't know I fly fish. Thanks all.

Couldn't see any browns stacked up? That's wierd. This time of year I love to find the deeper holes and strip a bugger through them. What were you using?

We threw glo bugs, copper johns, hare's ears, PT, stone fly. Didn't try any buggers though. The only fish we could see in the deep holes where the whitefish. No browns. I wonder if we went up to memorial if they we would do better. The other odd thing is we could see no redds at all.

Also, seems like some beavers were busy at perception. They knocked down some of the big willows in the area and dammed the river up. Now there is a nice pond on the south of perception. I hope it gets blown out this spring in the run off. If anyone out there can find the browns, please let me know either here or in a PM. Thanks.

I fished the South Fork this afternoon and had the same results. The Browns were not to be found. I also picked up some big Whitefish. The first that I have caught on the South Fork.
I think that the Browns have moved into spawnning areas and I just didn't find them.
