I have done a bunch of fishing in the South, and have seen the effects a cold front can have on bass fishing. Just wondering if the effect of a cold front holds true for the species here in Utah such as the trout, walleye etc.

I would assume that the larger deeper fish such as the macks don't respond as negatively to storms as others species, but I could be dead wrong.

What are your insites?

I personally think that fishing after a cold front is much different. I usually try to avoid it, however I must say I have had some fairly productive days right after a storm. I've also been skunked...go figure. I don't have much experience with the deep water fish...yet.

I think it has more of an effect in the summer. During the fall I seem to catch fish before, after and during storms.
