I hit the Weber on Sat for a few hours. The white fish are stacked up and eager to eat after we found out what they wanted. I caught one on a scud, one on a prince and most on my as yet unnamed fly. I tied this fly for the S. Fork and come to find out the browns on the weber love it as well as the whitefish. Go figure. As soon as I get the pattern done and can get a good pic. I will post it. Saw some browns jumping, I think to break up the eggs, and saw a couple of monster browns (easily over 24") but wouldn't take anything. So, some pointers on taking these monsters on the Weber would be helpful, flies, patterns, etc.

Also, as I left the S. Fork the end of October, I caught whites, but not a brown and did not see any browns anywhere. We fished from BOTS up to perception. Any one found them? What were they hitting?

I have fished the South Fork twice in the past week. I don't know where the Browns are at either. My guess is up higher. On both trips I started on the Weber and moved over to the S.F.later in the day.
Browns and White fish are all over the Weber. I did best using Sow Bugs and Pheasant Tails. Not much luck using egg patterns yet.

I think that DKS is right.... the browns have probably moved up river.

My suggestion for catching the larger browns when they are stacked up is use some kind of a streamer or bugger. If they don't look at it as a food source, sometimes it will tick them off enough to want to eat it.
