Well, the water's turned hard up here in Southern Ontario, Canada. I had my last outing on Monday and caught a significant fish. I will tie flies in preparation for next season and tinker with tackle until the spring. Hope you fellows down on the other side of the border enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving. Us tubers and fisherman have a lot to be thankful for. I'm especially thankful for what the Lord has given me and very thankful that I have tubing and flyfishing to bring me respite from the turmoil we sometimes experience in life.

[cool][#0000ff]What? You're gonna let a little 2 foot layer of ice keep you and your tube off the water? Haven't you ever seen one of those power augers. Zap, zap and zap...and you have a hole big enough to dunk your craft. Don't even have to wear fins 'cause you ain't goin' very far.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]That is one of the good things about the cold months. It forces us to take stock of all of our blessings...and our tackle. I make lures, build rods and tie flies all year, but there is something therapeutic and warming about cuddling up to the old bench when the big flakes are falling or the cold winter winds are howling. We are stimulated just by knowing that someday the calendar will lose a few pages and we can go out and play with all the new stuff we have created while we waited.[/#0000ff]
