Due to the holidays and flu bug I haven't been on the water for a few days but I have gotten reports of stripers walleye and white perch being caught. The Minooka to the river area seems to be most consistent but Hell creek has been producing also. Christmas day the horsebend area, the river to be exact had 3 inches of ice, I ventured out to the deeper water and drill to check the thichness but wasn't brave enough to try my luck. I was alone and no fish is worth that cold swim. I haven't been to the river end in a week but am sure the ice is still there but still not thich enough to fish safely, HAPPY NEW YEAR
