24th ANNUAL POLAR BEAR ICE PLUNGE, January 1, 2006: In Boulder, take the ice-cold plunge during this annual tradition hosted by the Boulder Polar Bear Club. On New Year’s Day, more than 600 people gather at the Boulder Reservoir to partake in this stunt of jumping and swimming in the frigid waters.
