What a way to start the new year-fishing bear lake. We launched at 7:15am and the water temp was a cool 32.7 degrees. The wind was blowing steady from the north and the waves were crahing pretty hard. There was some pretty good ice in the marina but no other signs of ice. The ramp was in good shape after they plowed and salted it. We only caught two small native cutts jigging on the rockpile. There was three other boats out fighting the waves with us and they were cathing a few fish here and there. This is first time I caught a fish jigging out of a boat. BLM you are the man. The pumpkin jig with cisco worked for the two we caught.
