We hit Scofield on Sat. Fished near the dam, opposite the boat ramp. the ice was 8 or 9 inches air temp ws -9 when we got there. Fishing was not nearly as good as past years. Three of us caught 29 between about 8:00 and 12:30. 2 were about 16" and the rest were between 8" and 10". We fished in water from 17 to 28 feet deep. most of the fish were within 2 or 3 feet of the bottom. I caught fish on rat finkees, white bougers, plain nightcrawlers, white tube jigs and other misc. jigs. Heavy jigging seemed to attract the most fish. The bite was fairly light.

Sounds like you guys have done better than most have done up there this year. It's too bad that it's been so slow this year.

I was there also. We fished just south of the first bend after the dam. I usually fish more over in the bay by the dam, but was lazy and didn't want to walk that far. Fishing was really slow where we were. Just caut 4 inch dinks until about noon when the larger fish started to bite. I ended up with 5 my partner 1 and my son 8 or so. Terrible day compared to years past. Nothing showed up on the vexler for 3 hours. We were in 32 feet of water. That pond has really come up since last year. 18 feet was the deepest we found last year. Ratfinkie with a wax worm soaked in crawfish smelly jelly seemed to work. My son caught a few on water crickets.
