[cool]Fishing 10 miles off Doc’s Beach House, Bonita, on Sunday with the Al Gallo party, we used shrimp to land three limits of mangrove snapper, triggerfish, porkfish, and three 16” hogfish (released the female).
Fishing Monday with Irv Shoemaker, Bob & Earl Kuhlmeier, and Jerry Lindmeyer, in 34 feet off Doc’s Beach House, we used live shrimp to catch twenty mangrove snapper to 14 inches, and keeper-sized triggerfish, porkfish, and sheepshead. Tuesday & Wednesday the weather kept us in port, but Thursday we fished in 34 feet off Doc’s, with Don & Kate Stevenson and friend, Pate. We caught three limits of mangrove snapper to 15 inches, and a 24 inch gag grouper. We released keeper-sized triggerfish and grunts, all on shrimp. We lost several trips this week, due to a weather front that increased seas to 5-7 feet--Hoping for improved conditions next week, though we'll be fighting El Nino all season.
