Can anyone tell me if you can drive ATV's on the ice in Idaho like we do at Strawberry and Rockport. I will be at Daniels Reservoir this coming Monday and would like to take the ATV if it is legal.I have not received a response on the Idaho board so I am posting here. Thanks, Dale.

I haven't fished Daniels since before the big die off 4 or 5 years ago but we used to run the machines on it. We were checked by wardens and they never said anything. I'm just not sure it's legal now since it's been a long time.

I guess I should have caught this post over on the Idaho Board. Somehow, I missed it! Anyway, my understanding is that there is not a blanket rule on Idaho reservoirs. (If I am wrong, please someone correct me!) What I do know is that I have seen the restriction on some lakes and not on others. For example, Daniels appears to not have a restriction. However, Rire Reservoir near Idaho Falls, has specific restriction to use of 4-wheelers etc. on the ice for human safety purposes.
