Fished Echo today. Straight out from the boat ramp, 39 feet of water, damn cold. Caught 1 18 inch rainbow on a white booger. Had a few bites on velveeta and one on a minnow, but no hookups. Talked to two guys who'd been fishing near the dam. They said they'd only caught one trout between three fishermen. There were a couple of guys out further than me who were smart enough to bring their shelters. I don't know if they were catching anything but they never moved. I measured 7ish inches of ice, 1 inch of frost on top, so it's not too slippery.
I tried for perch but no luck there.

On the way home I drove by Lost Creek. Still a good amount of open water in front of the dam. The road up is icy/snowy so be cautious.

Thanks for the report Mateo. The last couple of reports from Echo make it sound like it is going to be a slow year there, even the perch don't want to play. WH2

Too bad the fishin' was so slow. I almost went up to Lost Creek yesterday for a little ice fishin with the daughter, sounds like it might be another week before safe ice around the dam.
