i havn't been on the website for awhile but thought i'd post a report:

huntington a few weeks ago had plenty of ice, but even more slush, it was bitter cold wich was tolerable but the slush was horrible, it seemed to freeze anything below the knee rock solid, we went on the 3rd and had one fish caught in the first few min. and had some huge bites later on, there was one downer though a guy 20 yards out had just ventured on to the ice when he fell through up to his armpits don't know who it was or how it happened but if your out there all i gotta say is dude that sucks, i've been there, and nothin sucks as bad as bein a walking popsicle

The slush has been frozen for a couple of weeks now, with the total surface over 14". Fishing is still good for very aggressive Tigers!

That sorry sucker was me! I didn't fall in though. I was walking around and i stepped into a hole somebody else had drilled. as i fell the natorious Huntington slush layer pinned my ankle in the hole. It almost seemed the more i struggled the worse it got. Paanick started to set in and ice water filled my boot. The thought of th "W" picking up and my foot being soaked was disheartening. I ended up using the handle from my ice auger to chisel out my boot. A hard lesson learned, but an awesome day fishing. I often noticed that when some leave they push slush back into the hole as if some kind of courtesy to others....... Well i think differently!!!
