Got to the lake later than I should have (9:30). There were about 50 people on the ice. Air temperature was about 40, ice was 6-7" thick. A couple of guys loaned me a rod, drilled me a hole and we fished together for a while, then they had to leave. We were fishing 30' of water. Only one trout iced, no perch anywhere. I moved closer to shore and landed one more trout. I left about 1:00. Big fish, but few landed. I noticed that its the small details that make ice fishing work, like when you put new blades on the auger, put them on frontwards, not backwards; when you leave the truck, have your pole with you. Small stuff like that.
