I am hoping to get up Hyrum way on either Friday afternoon or Saturday afternoon. If anyone can let me know how the ice is there, I would sure appreciate it. I am most interested in the ice conditions on the other side of the inlet. Great action on that side, and very rarely fished. If there is ice, and anyone wants to come along, shoot me an email and we will go tempt the fish there.

I went to Porcupine to day. The ice by the dam was good 3 to 4 inches. There is still open water in the north bay and the south shore in the center. Catching was slow. I was able to leave with one fish after 3 hours.

I stopped at Hyrum on the way out and was not stopped from fishing by the boat ramp. In 90 minutes I was able to catch 3 fish. The first 3 feet of ice was thin after that it was 3-4 inches of solid ice.

It's been getting above freezing every day here in hyrum, but only for a few hours. That leaves the rest of the day to make the ice thicker, and it's been getting dang cold at night. Check out http://weather.campbellsci.com/hyrumweather.htm if you want to know about the weather at Hyrum. Sorry... no wind sensors on my weather station yet.
